Features of BlackBerry spy apps

In the first post we mentioned the three BlackBerry Spy Apps – and this post is to clarify the main differences between them in terms of their features as well as their cost.

All three apps are purchased as a contract for a fixed period of time. This is because of how they work: they log activity on the phone and upload it to a central server. You then log on to that server and can peruse the logs at your leisure.

Mobile Spy has all the basic features, and is available for three months, six months or a full year.

Flexispy has several versions, starting with a ‘light’ version and working up to the full Pro-X¬†version. The top-of-the-range version does have a price tag to match, though!

Spyera SPYPhone has two versions for the BlackBerry, with similar feature sets to Flexispy Pro and Pro X.

All applications are available for a full year, and support the following features:

• If the BlackBerry has a GPS receiver and has a signal, the apps will keep track of the phone’s location.
• Every SMS message (including its text) is kept so you can read it later.
• Phone calls are logged, along with their duration.

Additionally, the basic version of Flexispy will report the name of all numbers called, where they are available from the user’s contacts list.

Mobile Spy costs $99.97 for a full year.

Flexispy Light version costs €100 for a full year.

But for Flexispy this is only half of the story. There are also three versions available to those with bigger budgets, each of which has additional features.

The light version has all the features of the basic version, and adds the ability to read all messages to/from all email accounts on the phone. This version can also be remotely controlled by SMS, and costs €100 per year

The Pro version has all the features of the light version, and will also inform you if a new SIM card is put into the phone – including telling you the number of the new SIM card. You can also switch on the BlackBerry’s microphone and listen to everything within range of the BlackBerry in real time, from anywhere in the world. This version costs ‚Ǩ150 per year

The Pro-X version allows you to listen in real time to all incoming and outgoing phone calls as they are happening (GSM networks only). This version costs €250 per year

Spyera SPYPhone Silver BlackBerry Edition costs €249 for a full year, and has a feature set similar to Flexispy Pro (see below).

Spyera SPYPhone Gold BlackBerry Edition costs €349 for a full year, and has a feature set similar to Flexispy Pro X (see below). Also coming soon is a keylogger for BlackBerry Instant Messenger. Existing customers will receive a free upgrade once this feature is available.
